Don’t you just love hearing scientific studies telling you things you already knew or suspected?

Today in the car, I hear about one from some group in Washington DC saying that cataract surgery improves the cognitive function of the person having it.  They think it is because the person can now see properly.

DUH…..if we can put our bodies back to where they were in our 20ies, doesn’t it make sense that our cognitive functions would improve? Like using hearing aids and the link between hearing and dementia and cognitive function. If you can hear, your brain works better. If you can see, your brain works better.

I guess this research is important to convince all the people who don’t want to take care of themselves that there is a rainbow at the end of the medical care. Better living with better attitudes.

I myself puzzle over this. I just thought it made common sense.
