It may be possible to diagnose different types of neural diseases such as Parkinsons and Alzheimer by using a light beam directed into the eye and looking for different colors. Different proteins will turn different colors to light and by looking for the specific color that lights up, physicians can see  indications of bundling of proteins that should not be occurring. It is hoped that this will lead to the early diagnosis of some of these diseases.
